Power Design

Random Access Memory

ASUS Enhanced Memory Profile II allows users to increase memory performance with optimized clock speeds and now works with a mixture of different brands and dies across the four-DIMM DDR4 configuration.
Cooling
HybridChill
The ASUS HybridChill water block featured in this motherboard utilizes passive and liquid cooling to achieve highly efficient VRM operation. The full copper design, waved fin channel, electroless nickel plating, watertight rubber gasket, and G1/4″ threaded fittings meet industry standards to ensure compatibility with a wide variety of custom cooling setups.
Heat Sinks
Large aluminum heat sinks cover M.2 drives with plenty of surface area for cooling. Each of the three onboard slots gets their own backplate for added heat dissipation. There is also a dedicated heat sink to draw heat away from the chipset for optimum operating temperatures. High-conductivity thermal pads improve heat transfers from the system by guiding heat generated by the power stages to the heat sinks. A replacement thermal pad is included for future maintenance as well.
Water-Cooling
This motherboard uses dual water-temperature headers and a flow-rate header to track information vital to maintaining a custom water loop. You can find the information in ASUS’ Armoury Crate software. The water pump header can supply over 3 amps to PWM or DC water pumps.
