ASUS H670-PRO WIFI D4 Overview

Utilize the power of 12th Generation of Intel processors with the TUF Gaming H670-PRO WIFI D4 LGA 1700 ATX Motherboard from ASUS. This motherboard features the Intel H670 chipset and LGA 1700 socket. Install up to 128GB of dual-channel DDR4 RAM across four memory slots, with speeds up to 5333 MHz supported when overclocking. Four SATA III and four M.2 connectors allow you to install a wide array of storage drives, while the PCIe 5.0 x16 slot allows you to install high-end graphics cards.

The rear I/O panel sports a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C port, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports and four Gen 1 Type-A ports. The rear I/O also features an RJ45 port that supports a wired 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet Connection and two Wi-Fi antenna connectors that can be used with the included antenna. There is also five 3.5mm audio jacks as well as an optical S/PDIF output. Power Design

DrMOS and Digi+ VRM

The onboard VRMs feature 14+1 DRMOS power stages that combine high-side and low-side MOSFETs and drivers into a single package delivering the power efficiency that 12th Gen Intel Core processors demand. The power stages are each rated to handle 50 amperes to provide stable performance for current and future Intel processors. Additionally, the Digi+ voltage-regulator module, or VRM, ensures smooth and clean power delivery to the CPU at all times.

Cooling Design

ProCool Connectors

Enhanced EATX 4- and 8-pin sockets are designed to be more durable, preventing hotspots and connector failures. Furthermore, ProCool sockets are built to tight specifications to ensure flush contact with the PSU power lines.

Comprehensive Fan Controls

Each cooling header can be set to monitor and react to three user-configurable thermal sensors for workload-based cooling, and all settings can be managed by Fan Xpert4 or via the UEFI. An integrated AIO system enables full control of PWM or DC water pumps, making it ideal for custom or self-contained cooling setups. All onboard chassis fan headers support auto-detection of PWM or DC fans in addition to AIO, and a dedicated integrated circuit protects each fan header from excess heat and electrical currents.

Connectivity

PCIe 5.0

The 12th Gen Intel processors bring PCIe 5.0 support to the market. PCIe 5.0 offers twice the data-transfer speed of PCIe 4.0, making it robust enough to handle data-heavy tasks. PCIe 5.0 also brings other benefits, such as electrical changes to improve signal integrity, backward-compatible CEM connectors for add-on cards, and backward compatibility with previous versions of PCI Express.

Front USB Support

A full complement of USB ports supports high-end systems loaded with peripherals, including a front-panel USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C connector that provides data transfer speeds of up to 5 Gb/s.

TUF Gaming H670 series motherboards feature Thunderbolt 4 support via an on-board header. With an intel-certified ASUS ThunderboltEX 4 add-on card (sold separately), TUF Gaming H670-PRO Wi-Fi D4 can also enable di-directional speeds of up to 40 Gb/s on a single cable.
